Entrepreneurship
ASAFE is a well-established social enterprise with over 25 years of experience dedicated to the promotion and development of cooperative enterprises. Our primary objective in entrepreneurship is to facilitate collaborative production among individuals. By identifying viable products and corresponding market opportunities, we assemble a critical mass of producers to effectively address market needs. We provide comprehensive training and establish a revolving loan fund to support initial investments and working capital. In addition, we foster strong relationships with buyers to ensure that both the quality and quantity of the products meet the stipulated market standards.
Furthermore, we have implemented an innovative community voucher system known as ABBIA, which promotes exchanges among community members and allows for supplier credits. Participants are given the option to exchange goods using ABBIA or to pay for goods and services with 70 percent in the national currency and the remaining 30 percent in ABBIA. This community voucher system operates on advanced blockchain technology, ensuring transparency and security in all transactions.
Moreover, our program titled “Riche Ensemble” is designed to provide in-kind credit opportunities. For communities interested in poultry farming or other farming, we establish centralized points managed by entrepreneurs equipped with incubators. Each participant in the program is provided with five breeding hens and is required to repay half of their production across three reproductive cycles. This arrangement allows for egg incubation services at a nominal fee, thereby empowering communities to engage in poultry farming effectively. Our initiatives have significantly encouraged numerous communities to pursue chicken raising, demonstrating the impact of collaboration and innovation in fostering economic development.
